Manpasand Shadi – Your Right to Choose in Islam
Manpasand shadi (marrying the person of your choice) is absolutely allowed in Islam. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "If someone whose religion and character you are pleased with comes to you, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation in the land and great corruption."
However, many parents reject manpasand shadi due to culture, caste, or personal ego. This is un-Islamic.
